PushButton Engine 101 Talk From Flash Gaming Summit

Postby bengarney on Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:21 am

Hey guys,

The video of my PushButton Engine 101 talk is now available! You might enjoy it.

If anyone knows how to get a local mirror so we don't have to worry about Adobe removing it, I'd love a tip on how to preserve it.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben - I finally got around to watching the video, very interesting stuff!
I saw you're doing a card kit.
I did a 5 & 7 card poker hand evaluator in Flash that I've tested to evaluate 14.000 Texas Hold'em (7-card) hands per second, and 2.6 mio. 5-card poker hands in 6.3 seconds. It's MIT licensed and you might be able to use some of it for your card kit. If you're interested, have a look at: http://blog.houen.net/coding/actionscri ... evaluator/

Hey houen!

That's actually not me, it's Nate Beck who's working on it. :) I'll pass that link along to him!

Houen this is great!!!

And it's come at just the right time, I'm writing Texas Hold'em right now. I'll be sure to get you into the Cards beta. :D

Cheers,
Nate
